Naveah heard the knock on the door and was up on her feet in seconds. Which, wasn't the greatest idea, since her homework was suddenly all over the floor. Her binder flipped over, ripping papers and sending stacks of notebooks and loose-leaf paper flying under the coffee table. Her pens and highlighters crashed around the wreck, making small plastic sounds that made her grimace. Stepping over the mess, she ran - literally - to open the door, catching Jaxon mid hop. Grinning, as she was glad to see him, she giggled a little and stepped away from the door. "Bathroom's inside to the left." She teased, assuming he was jumping around because he had to go, and not because he was just that weird. While he entered to go to the restroom, she leaned down and picked up her pens, pencils, notebooks, papers, and binders, noting, to her dismay, that they were all in disarray.

Jaxon smiled awkwardly and frantically ran to the bathroom, closing the door behind him just before wetting himself. Every time. Every fucking time he got excited, he had to pee. It was always like that when he was a kid too. Hide and Go Seek was the end of Jaxon.. he always found the BEST spot, then had to pee.
It was only about two minutes before Jaxon exited the bathroom with a heavy sigh and came tot he main room to find Naveah bent down over a mess of office supplies. "Having a little trouble?" he asked jokingly and went to her side to help pick up the mess. "Hello, by the way. Sorry about that," he added shyly.
Wow did she look beautiful. And here he was in a tee shirt and jeans.

Naveah turned her head to glance at Jaxon as he re-entered the room. Smiling, she turned back to her binder, shuffling the papers back into order with some frustration. "Yes, it's a little frustrating. I kind of stood up too fast when you knocked, and everything fell on the floor." She blushed at her silly mistake, and smiled when he crouched down on the floor next to her, helping her pick up the few stray items. Her hand hesitated over a picture she had drawn, a stray little scribble, which she hoped didn't look too much like a pair of familiar eyes. She had forgotten that drawing - it was something she had done a few days after her first date with Jax, a pencil sketch of half of his face. Smiling at him, she realized she had gotten nothing right - a drawing could not capture the light in his eyes or the intensity of his stare. Feeling a sudden surge of passion, she leaned over, turned his face with her fingertips, and gave him a quick kiss. "I've missed you, Jax."

Jaxon smiled when the kiss ended. The warmth that buzzed across his face was a feeling he hadn't felt since their first kiss so long ago. It really had been too long. "I've missed you too, Naveah," he said before reaching his hand up to her chin and pulling her close for another kiss.
After a few minutes of passionate kissing, Jaxon picked up a highlighter that had rolled a bit further than the rest. He smiled and clicked it, watching the pink flare as it rolled out from inside the pen. He chuckled as a thought rolled into his head, looking down at the drawing Naveah had pulled out earlier. Reaching for a piece of notebook paper, Jaxon clicked the highlighter twice more before drawing out a star, then encircling it. "Remind you of anything?" He asked and then wiggled his fingers in the air making an'oooooh' sound.

When he pulled her in for another kiss, she smiled against his lips. It had been too long - much too long. She shifted so that she was sitting on her knees on the floor next to him, perhaps a little closer than she had been before. She couldn't help it - Jax had this kind of connection with her. It was like he was a magnet, and she was too attracted to him to pull away. She watched as he pulled out the highlighter and drew what she thought was going to be just a star. When he added a circle around it, she giggled and grinned at him.
"Of course it reminds me of something," she whispered, and then gave him a deviant smile before snatching the highlighter away. Clicking it to draw out more ink, she began to draw again - just rough little sketches. Above the pentagram, she drew a few tiny lightbulbs, meaning to be like the ones he had hanging in his room. From there, she added a pattern of scales, much like the ones she had tattooed on her hands. "We had the best fun in high school." She stated.

Jaxon smiled as she played along with his silly drawing and reached for another highlighter so he could add to the drawing too. Removing the cap, he started to draw out all his shelves, filling each row in with a few lines to represent the books. "We sure did," he said as he watched the drawing progress. For two adults just doodling with highlighters, it actually looked a lot like his old room. He stopped a moment to sit back and think. He'd never really realized how much he missed that place. Sure he had everything now in his apartment.. the books, the lights, and much, much more. But something about that room was special. Be it the fact that it was his first home away from home or it was where had his first kiss.. it was special.
"You ever miss.. childhood?" he asked, his eyes a bit glossy as he scribbled more on the picture. He wasn't even drawing now.. he'd slipped so far into his thoughts that he was just going back and forth over a line. The color was getting richer and the paper began to shred as the ink soaked in.

Naveah watched him with a grin set upon her lips as he drew. The bookshelf added in, his room was starting to actually take shape. She picked up her highlighter again and started to draw herself into the picture, just a few lines that looked like a girl, standing next to the few lines that made up Jax. They looked pretty much like stick figures, but she thought they were cute. She was about to bring them up when she noticed Jax's mood darken a little, like the thing he was drawing. It was just a scribble, really, but the page was soaking up the ink big time and soon enough it ripped.
"Childhood?" She said softly, her grin turning into a thin line. "I suppose I miss it sometimes..." She reached across to take his hand, using her fingers to guide his highlighter as she started drawing small flowers. She wasn't trying to control what he was drawing, she just wanted to move from dark shapes to happy, pretty things. His hand was warm beneath hers, but he wasn't moving the highlighter, just like he wasn't really there at the moment. He was lost in his thoughts again. "I miss when we used to stay in your dorm all day, in high school, and read magic books or watch movies... or kiss..." She smiled at the memory, hoping her talking would get him to come back, stop being so moody.
"When I was really little I had a magic wand," she murmured, and looked at him with a smile in her eyes. "I would run around turning people into frogs and witches... I miss being a kid sometimes, but I like how things are now," she released his hand and went back to her own highlighter. "What about you?"

"I don't really miss it," he said blankly, watching as she guided his hand across the paper. It made him think of a ouija board. He'd never liked those things.. as much as Jaxon Porter was a warlock at heart, he really hated ouija boards. They gave him the creeps. He shook his head a bit. "I just miss high school, I guess," he said, looking away from the drawing just as she let go of his hand. "I miss being on my own.. but not really being on my own, yknow? I wasn't with my parents.. but I wasn't away from adults. I guess as much as I like not having any rules.. I do kinda miss them."
Jaxon closed his highlighter and looked Naveah in the eyes. "You're really somethin'," he said with a smile, trying to forget about the past again and live in the now. He could always sense that she hated when he lingered in his memories. He hated it too, honestly. It changed him. Brought out the worst.

Naveah nodded in understanding at his explanation. It made sense, but everything in her mind screamed, What was that!? She wasn't used to these little moments yet. She didn't know what brought them on but something always told her that maybe it was her own fault. Was she bringing up some bad memories for him? There had to be something going on - maybe something that happened in the past - that she wasn't aware of. But she wasn't going to dwell on it, definitely not. She didn't want to ruin their first night together in a long time - honestly, she had missed him.
Getting up from the floor, she put her high lighter away and sat down on the couch, patting the cushion next to her for him to sit on. She liked that he had said she was "really somethin'." It made her feel special, and warm inside. "So, we've got all night free to do whatever we want..." She grinned at him. "What kinds of trouble are we going to get into?"

Jaxon sat and sort of hissed through his teeth. "Well I'm sorry to say I left all my white paint and witchcraft books at home.." he said with a smile. "We could do dinner. That's not nearly trouble enough for me.. but its a start," he added, looking towards the kitchen. He hoped he wasn't being pushy and he hoped to jesus she didn't think he was asking her to make him food. He didn't want to seem like that kind of guy. "If you guide me, I can whip up somethin that probably won't kill us," he said with another smile before pecking her on the forehead.

Naveah laughed at his mention of white paint and witchcraft books. She was pretty sure if he had brought them, they probably would have spent the night with some evil magical fun - even if it wasn't entirely real. Looking down at her tattooed hands, she remembered their first day together with a smile. Who would have thought that after running into a guy in the library, she would have been in his dorm trying to give herself snake scales?
Following him into the kitchen (which wasn't a long walk) she enjoyed the kiss on the forehead. It felt somewhat endearing and cute, like something a real couple would be seen doing. "I don't have much, but I'm sure we can scrounge around for something." It was true - her closets and fridge were practically empty. She hadn't shopped in a while, since her schedule was pretty busy. "I've got cereal?" She offered with a laugh, then turned to the fridge. "There's stuff in here to make something Italian - want spaghetti and meat balls?"

"Oh I love balls," he said playfully, poking at her shoulder with a smile. "Lemme make them. You make the noodles though.. I always over cook those." Without waiting for her answer, Jaxon was bent over and reaching into the fridge for meatballs. He hoped she wouldn't mind how much he was making himself at home as he tossed the pack onto the counter and began looking for a pot (i don't actually know how to make meatballs.. so if they're not made in a pot.. oh well).
"This is really cute," he said as he ripped open the pack and dumped them frosty meatballs into the pot. "I like cooking with you. I feel like.. like we're real." What was that supposed to mean? Like they were 'real'? What? Jaxon shook his head at the comment but smiled anyway and kissed Naveah again before turning, pot in hands, to find the stove.

Naveah laughed at his balls comment, and let him in the fridge. It was nice that he was making himself at home, even though it did make her a little self conscious, since she hadn't cleaned in a while and was sure he might notice that. But oh well! After he grabbed a pot from the cupboard, she grabbed another pot and closed the door, turning to the stove at the same time he was. She lit two of the burners and filled her pot with water before putting it on the stove to boil. "You might want to put some olive oil in that pot before you try to cook those meatballs," she suggested, pulling the bottle of oil from the closet. "Here," she handed it to him. "It makes them taste a little more authentic." She winked a little on the comment, to let him know she was just teasing a little.
"So you feel like this is real?" She smiled, looking at him over her shoulder as she added salt to her boiling water pot, which would make the noodles a little more flavored. Then she threw in half a box of angel hair pasta and let it cook. Moving to stand a little closer, she put her arm around his back and leaned up on her tip toes to kiss him on the cheek. "I feel real when we kiss." She murmured, knowing exactly what he meant by "real." Real felt like an actual couple. Real felt like love, not just kisses or dates.

Jaxon blushed lightly as he took the olive oil, poring in a bit. At home he was lucky if he ate macaroni and cheese. This was all so classy and Italiano.
"Me too," Jaxon said as Naveah's arms were suddenly around him and a kiss was planted on his cheek. "I feel real just being with you. You make me feel special.. and important." Turning down the burner a bit, Jaxon turned to Naveah and picked her up, setting her on the counter. He hoped she might wrap her legs around his back as he leaned in for a kiss. "I don't think I've ever told you how beautiful your eyes are," he said as he moved a piece of hair away from her brow. "They're stunning. Mesmerizing." He kissed her again.

Naveah bit her lip and had to restrain a squeal of surprise as he picked her up to put her on the counter. Reflexively, as he leaned in, she wrapped her legs around him. At first, she wondered if that was a little too risky - was that something she wasn't supposed to do? But then she let her thoughts drift away as he kissed her, and couldn't help but smile. When he complimented her eyes, she blushed and looked down, the next kiss surprising her. She reached up and gently pulled him closer, deepening the kiss. Moving her mouth, she opened her lips against his, leaning in to that familiar kiss.
