"I just want everyone there to be close to us," Jaxon said with a smile. He felt like he was dreaming.. was this even real? Of course it was. They were in love and he knew it and could feel it. "And I guess just because it'd be right I gotta invite my family don't I.." That's when he drifted back. Here it was. It was happening, like he knew it probably would.
What on earth would his dad say?
Whadja do, knock up some homeless girl and now you're gettin' hitched outta pity?
Jaxon shuddered at the thought of having to tell, let alone invite his family. He could maybe invite Kel and Val with few problems.. but that was unlikely. Then there was the thought of his mother. His dad would've been all redneck and what.. but his mom. What on earth would she do? He didn't want to think about it.
"Hey," Jaxon turned his head quite abruptly and got to his knees. "Let's go celebrate. Let's go somewhere. Get a burger or something. I dunno. Just.. just.. let's go." He stood and starred out at the ocean for a moment, patting his thighs awkwardly. "Yea.." he said kind of quietly to himself and shook the last few thoughts of his family away.

Naveah smiled, looking at him for a moment. "You can invite whoever you want. I think my parents can come, and Dalton, definitely, I haven't seen him in a while. Oh, maybe he can sing for us, wouldn't that be nice..." she trailed off as she noticed his distant gaze. This wasn't new to her at all, and she had learned to be okay with his "episodes" as she called them in her mind. There was nothing she could do to shake him out of a bad mood when it set in, except to let him think. He needed moments of time where he could just think, she figured. She hoped he wouldn't stay too long in those moments, however - often, he snapped back into reality with a shudder, which she knew meant he was thinking about the past.
She stared off into the distance as he took his moment. She thought about the wedding... how lovely they would look together, standing by the altar. Then she glanced back to him. As he shook off the thoughts, she wondered yet again what he was thinking about. Something told her she did, and yet didn't, want to know. When he offered to go somewhere else, she took one long look back at the sunset, then nodded. "Sure, let's go somewhere," she got to her feet and folded up the blanket, handing him the picnic basket. Sidling up beside him as they walked back to their cars (they had driven up seperatly) she took his hand in hers. "We could go to a hotel, stay in Jersey for a few days, just you and me," she muttered, and winked at him. It was sort of a joke - they could do it, but she wasn't sure he'd want to. It wasn't so much of a serious offer as just... an offer.

Jaxon cocked his head to the side when she suggest the hotel, a slight smile breaking up his cheek. "That sounds lovely," he said in a totally unnecessary British accent. "It could be like.. our pre-wedding honeymoon," he added as he unlocked his car with a giggle. "Just you and me, one bed, one bathroom. It'll be like our first very own place together. Even though it.. belongs.. to the hotel..." he made a silly confused face at her before opening the door to his car and sitting in the driver's seat. Starting the car, Jaxon rolled down the window and put his arm over the edge. "So where to, m'lady?" he asked, working his best 'smolder'.
"Oh and we should maybe drop off one of our cars.." he added, pulling down the seat belt. "Or not. I mean.. its up to you."

Naveah smiled when he said it would be a pre-honeymonn kind of thing. "Speaking of pre-honeymoon," she grinned. "I'm pretty sure ours is going to rock. We'll have to decide where we're going but I was thinking somewhere we can do whatever we want. Listen to music, dance like crazy people, drink a ton of Arak... have little parties of our own?" She murmured suggestively. When he sat in the driver's seat and rolled down the window, she leaned over into the frame to talk to him. "How about we take both cars to the hotel? I know a great place a few minutes away from here... nice, quiet hotel, great for couples." She bent her neck to kiss him through the window. "I'll lead, you follow my tail?"

"Sounds like a plan to me," Jaxon said as he let his lips slide off of her's. "I would say let's race.. but that, m'dear, would be against the law." Smiling, Jaxon rolled up the window and backed out of his parking space just far enough so Naveah could get her car in front of his and lead the way.
How nice was this going to be? A pre-wedding honeymoon with his fiance in a cute little hotel where they didn't have to know anyone or anything and everything was just beautiful. It all seemed to be falling so perfectly into place.

She smiled as he rolled up the window, and then sprinted the little way to her car. Sliding into the driver's seat, she barely had time to buckle her seat belt because her mind was racing. She managed to get the keys in the ignition and her foot on the gas before the door was even all the way shut. Driving to the cute little bed-and-breakfast hotel was fun. It was on an street that was only a block from the beach. The house was a little Victorian-style property with a porch and shutters, the whole shabang. She parked in the little four-car lot they had in front, and sat on the hood of the car while waiting for him to get in.
She wouldn't be telling him this, but she had been in a room here with another guy a few years back, right after high school graduation. They spent a grand total of three days making out in a bedroom. The farthest they went was her feeling him up, and his hands under her shirt. After that night, when they didn't even have sex, he left. She just couldn't do it. Something always told her he wasn't the right guy and it turned out... he wasn't. When Jax pulled up, she waited for him and they walked in together. She got to the front desk and smiled at the receptionist. "Do you have a honeymoon suite here?" She asked on a whim, looking up to wink at her fiance.

Jax smiled in a giddy way when Naveah asked the lady if they had a honeymoon suite. Just those words alone were so exciting! He turned his head lightly to wink at her, but snapped his head back to the receptionist when she answered with a cheery, "Why yes! Yes we do! Happy new couple, huh?". She seemed almost as happy as they were.
"Recently engaged," Jax smiled, practically beaming. The woman smiled and clasped her hands together. "If you've got your bags, I can take you up right now," she said. Jaxon smiled at the lady then kissed Naveah on the cheek. "You go on up, I'll get.. oh wait.." he paused, "we don't.. have any bags.." He blushed, having completely forgotten that this had been a spontaneous trip.

The woman's excitement was rather endearing. Naveah smiled back at the woman and lifted up her left hand to show her the ring. The women was only a few years older and a little pudgy, but she looked like a kind, motherly person. "How wonderful, you two seem lucky to have each other. Congratulations!" She picked up a room key and started for the stairs, not making a comment on the spontaneous trip that excluded any baggage. She'd probably seen it all before.
As they headed up the wooden staircase (which was obviously still there from the original house) the receptionist babbled on about how this would be a lovely place for the wedding, or the reception, or the honeymoon, or just about any other event. She sounded like she was coming up with it off of her own head, too, which was kind of nice, since it meant she wasn't reading it out of pamphlet and actually kind of cared enough to tell them her opinions. "If you had the wedding service here you could rent the entire first floor, we've changed the dining room into a chapel before. Or there's the backyard, that'd be nice for an outdoor wedding..."
She trailed off as they reached their room. She unlocked the door and handed the key over to Naveah, and she held the large, old-fashioned brass key in her palm. As the woman wandered away, she looked up at Jax. "I love the old style here..." She murmured, walking into the room. The bed was large and wooden, and the frame matched with the wardrobe. There was a small bathroom off to the right, and a peak in showed a modern-enough bathroom with old-style touches (like what appeared to be homemade soap and rustic colors throughout). It was quaint, and pretty. Naveah looked into the wardrobe and bit her lower lip, glancing at Jaxon. "There's robes, pajamas, and towels in here, that's a plus." she laughed. "We'll have something to wear in the morning, or whenever,"
She smiled and sat herself on the quilted bed. It was plushy and comfortable. But, as she leaned back to rest on her palms, it squeaked - loudly. She looked at Jaxon and had to burst out laughing. "Oh, those loud springs are gonna be a problem." She joked. She didn't even know if they were going to have sex tonight, she was just making a joke out of it.

Jaxon couldn't help but burst out laughing when Naveah leaned back on the bed. "No one said I can't be gentle," he said, deepening his voice as he tried to sound 'sexy'. He smiled, tho, and turned away to examine the room. It really was quite cute. Very.. homey. It made him feel warm and comfy on the inside, like it was Easter. He always felt like that on Easter.. for no reason at all other than the fact that Easter usually means bunnies and bunnies.. are.. soft.. Anyway.
Snapping back from his holiday dreams, Jaxon went to the window at the far end of the room. "Wow, small place. We're in the front.." then he walked to the opposite wall. "AND the back of the house!" Its not like he minded it at all, really. He kind of liked it. Then he went for the wardrobe and found the clothing Naveah had been talking about. "Can I have the pink ones?" he joked with a silly voice inflection.

When he added his own sultry comment, Naveah blushed and looked down. Yet again, she had ran her mouth and mentioned something dirty, and felt slutty about it. She wasn't normally one to be like that - it was just that sometimes, the moment struck. She smiled up at Jax through her eyelashes, her cheeks still tinted rosy with her embarrassment. She wondered what he thought about her occasional advances... did he find them awkward? She hoped not, he seemed to accept it.
"It is small," she agreed, glancing around. There were dark wooden floors and neutral walls and everything seemed cozy. "It's like having our own cottage beach-house. Its kind of nice, I like it." She added, excited as always. When he asked about taking the pink, she pouted out her lower lip. "But I wanted the piiiink," she whined, with a teasing wink. If anyone were to actually wear pink out of the two of them, her money was on Jax. She kind of hated the color when she wore it.

"I like it too," he said in agreement, nodding. "I mean, I guess you can wear the pink.. it'd go so well with all your black clothing. Black and pink go nice together, that's what my mom says," he joked, hoping she didn't take his comment about her clothing too seriously. He loved how she dressed, he was just trying to be funny.
"so what's first on our pre-wedding agenda?" he asked, jumping to the bed. It let out a horrible squeak. "Oh man.. that's bad.." he looked down at the bed and tried not to move.

She laughed at his jokingly picking at her outfits. She knew he didn't mind what she wore - she could wear the most outrageous thing in the world and he wouldn't care. She could show up to a date in a chicken costume and he'd be okay with it, as long as she was the one inside the costume. Okay, maybe he'd be a little weirded out but the point was that with Jax, looks didn't matter as much as they did with other guys. The few people she dated were always superficial and ended up being flakes. Jax? Never.
"Our pre-wedding schedule should include a lot of planning. I only saw one episode of Say Yes to the Dress and that gave me enough insight. It's gonna be..." she heaved a sigh. "Hectic, to say the least. If you want to get married in, like, a year, that might slow the pace but... I don't know how long I can wait to be Mrs. Naveah Porter." She reached out and took his hand on the bed, lacing their fingers. Taking a moment to think, she could only focus on just how well they seemed to fit together. Their personalities, though occasionally opposing, went perfectly. Even their fingers could fit like puzzle pieces! She didn't know much about destiny but maybe this was her's. Or maybe she was jumping into this too quickly, her inner voice was quickly squished by pre-wedding joy.
"But we have to take it all in slowly. Maybe tonight we only focus on a little bit of it... like, when it's going to happen. What's a day that's free on your calendar? Next Wednesday okay?" she giggled. Wincing as she shifted her position (which caused a loud chorus of squeaking) she smiled at him mischievously. "Let's decide on this quickly. The way this bed is squeaking makes me sort of think we can't be quiet and, y'know, that sounds like a challenge." she raised an eyebrow. "And I never back down when there's a challenge, you know." She tried her best to sidle up closer to him without much noise, and caused such a ruckus she had to burst into a fit of giggles and laughter. "Oh my god, this could get interesting."

"Oh I dunno about Wednesday.. we should probably just play it safe and aim for tomorrow," he said with a smile. He began to laugh when she bounced around a bit, causing more noise to come from the bed than he'd heard so far. "That's ridiculous," he said, moving off the bed and onto the floor. He patted the ground next to him so she would join him and, when she did, he moved himself so he could be directly in front of her. It felt like they were in high school again: sitting on the floor, cross legged, face to face. The floors were even wooden, much like the floor of his dorm. He sat for a moment, hands rubbing over the surface of the floor remembering Foxhurst. Then a rather jealous thought popped into his head..
"Naveah... this is gonna sound bad and I promise I'll never ask you again but.." he paused, then looked up from the floor. "Just out of curiosity, did you date anyone else? I know that sounds horrible.. like a crazy obsessive jealous boyfriend but.. I swear, I mean to ask you in the most innocent way I can." He really hoped he didn't come off as too possessive.. he really was just curious.

She laughed when he got on the floor - it was pretty ridiculous that the bed in the honeymoon suite was so loud. She bounced around a little more for good measure, then just slid to the floor. "I seriously hope you don't roll around too much tonight, otherwise that thing's gonna wake me up, and then you'll be sleeping on the floor." She crossed her legs like Jax had and put her hands on her knees, palms up. "Okay, the floor's pretty comfy... we could take the comforter off the bed and camp down here, that'd be fun."
She smiled to herself when she thought of them in Jax's dorm, back on the floor. "Is it just me, or are our most fun times spent on the floor? Casting spells and kissing - romantic with just the right splash of whimsical." She paused. "Hey... that'd be a good wedding theme. Romantic and whimsical! Two words I like, which makes it better. What do you think?" She looked at him with eager eyes. "I mean, it'd take a lot of planning to get together tomorrow," she threw in the joke.
When he inquired as to other boyfriends, however, she had to let her smile falter. Why was he bringing it up? She was curious about his other relations, too, but... she was just going to let that be a mystery. She waned to know, but she didn't at the same time. And it was a little embarrassing to talk about her past experiences - considering they were few and far between. He had to have had thousands of girls drooling for him when he was out of high school. Blushing a little uncomfortably, she looked down at her hands.
"Umm, well I didn't have anyone else during high school, I was kind of moping because you went off to college." She chuckled a little at that. "You do know I had the biggest crush on you at fifteen, right?" She bit her lower lip, a little ashamed of herself, considering it wasn't much of a secret back then. She was totally crushing on her best friend, and the fact that they occasionally shared a kiss made her have a bigger crush and - well, you see how it went from there. "After high school, there wasn't much either. I was traveling all the time, so all the guys were kind of just friends. I think I've had, maybe, five relationships in the past five years? Not including you, though. So that's six, it's kind of sad." She refrained from mentioning the one guy she had spent time with in this bed and breakfast hotel - she was afraid that'd make things uncomfortable.
Looking up, she offered a shy grin. "I guess I was just always looking for the right guy and I've found him.... So, how many girls have you had, then?" She winked, "I'm sure there were tons, right?" she was hoping there weren't a lot, but that was just a hope.

Jaxon nodded as she spoke. He quite honestly didn't care that she'd dated other guys, it made him feel just that much better about himself. She'd started with him and here she years later back with him again. That had to mean something. He smiled at the thought, but frowned when she asked him about his past relationships. Somehow, he hadn't expected her to ask him the same question. He avoided it for a moment, looking away from her. But he knew he couldn't avoid it forever.. he'd been avoiding it for far too long.
"I uh.." How was he gonna say this? "Well, I certainly haven't had five," he tried to joke, putting on a bit of a smile. "I only had one other girlfriend." Good. That was a good start. Making eye contact, Jaxon decided he'd wait for her reaction before he said anything else. If he was going to tell her everything, it wasn't going to just all come out at once. She'd never look at him the same way again.
Fuck. What was he getting himself into? Talk about inner turmoil: deciding whether or not to tell your girlfriend the truth. Deciding whether you lie and say you just broke up with the girl because she didn't feel right, or tell the truth and say you pushed her out a window and snapped her neck leading to automatic death?
