Drake was tired, and not just emotionally. He was exhausted through to his bones. They had driven from 4 in the morning just to get to Disney before it opened. They got into the hotel, and by then, Carver was up and excited to get into the park. They spent the rest of the day wandering around, going on little kids rides, getting ice cream, whatever Carver wanted. He was so tired from driving, he got into a few arguments with Serena, most of them over whether or not to let Carver do something. However, at the end of the day, they were still a loving, married couple with their beautiful daughter. They got back to the hotel after dinner and decided to go for a swim. After suiting Carver up in goggles, floaties, and a yellow polka dot one-piece, they headed downstairs with bottles of water and lots of towels. Immediately, Carver wanted to run for the pool, so they had to hold her hands between them, struggling to keep her from racing off. "I'm sorry for yelling at you, earlier," Drake looked at Serena, trying to keep a good grip on Carver's tiny hand that was dwarfed by his. "I'm just stressed, you know? I think a good swim will cool us off." He looked down at his daughter, who was looking up at them with a big smile. "Hey, Half-pint, do you want me to blow up your inner tube for you?" He asked, letting go of her hand to ruffle her hair as they reached the pool area. He took a seat on one of the plastic chaise lounges and patted the chair next to him for Serena and Carver to sit as he began to blow up Carver's favorite pink plastic inner tube.

Despite growing up with money to spare, Serena had never been to Disney anything so she was excited for Carver to enjoy this as a child since well it was more fun for kids. She and Drake's little disagreements throughout the day showed that. She didn't let any of what he said bother her though because she'd been kind of angry, too. She wasn't scared to tell him her opinions anymore which was actually healthier for their relationship than back when she just agreed to things to make him happy. "It's alright.... I'm sorry, too. I didn't mean what I said earlier." She sat down next to him with Carver in her lap and leaned over to give him a quick peck on the check. "You love me and you know it." She teased before turning her attention to their daughter well mainly so she could remind her of the pool rules which weren't too terribly unfair. She wasn't as overly protective as her parents had been; she didn't know how to swim until she was sixteen! She adjusted Carver and took a sip of water from her bottle. She'd been feeling a little nauseous today along with some bouts earlier in the week but it was nothing major except when she thought that she was going to throw up after one of the kid rides which was kind of funny considering. Motion sickness, she presumed, she didn't think it could possibly be anything else because they used a condom every single time and had been carefully tracking her ovulation for the past five years. Wouldn't they have already had an accident if it was going to happen? Yeah. She was pretty sure that they were done having babies. One was enough! She wouldn't mind a baby but one perfect beautiful daughter was plenty plus she didn't want to do hair for the rest of her life! She somehow managed to hide her small feeling of sickness from her husband and daughter during the day and it wasn't that she didn't want them to know because of some weird pride. She just didn't want to ruin the day by spending it cooped up in the hotel room just because she was sick.

Drake smiled when she pecked him on the cheek. He finished blowing up the inner tube and handed it to Carver. He resisted the urge to laugh at his daughter's appearance - add a little bubble wrap and you've got helicopter parents. She was in an inner tube with floaties on her arms and goggles over her eyes. They had put her in water shoes, too, and even though it was almost 6 at night, she was slathered with sunscreen.
Pointing to the water, he showed her the line she wasn't allowed to cross. "Ok, Carves, we're gonna sit on the edge right here." He sat down next to three foot deep mark, dangling his feet in the water. "You go play and we'll watch from here, ok? I'll get in later." He promised. He then turned and beckoned his wife closer, letting his eyes wander to enjoy her swimsuit choice.

Serena caught his eyes wandering down her body to check out her body. She felt like she still had it going on; she ate healthy most of the time and worked out often so she didn't get out of shape but she didn't do it simply to keep her husband. She did it because she felt better when she looked like this.
She moved closer to her husband and nuzzled her head into his neck, she felt like being a little more affectionate since Carver was busy in the pool clearly having fun. "Are you feeling sick, too? I think it's the heat and the fact that we were in the car for so long and just everything else. It's not making my poor stomach happy." She didn't think for one second that it could be something more serious like a second pregnancy. "I swear I almost puked earlier when we got breakfast sandwiches at McDonalds. I just can't stomach eggs right now." She couldn't eat eggs during her pregnancy with Carver... Odd. The sight and smell just made her want to heave.

"Me? Feel sick?" Drake looked at Serena quizzically. She was normally the healthiest of the family. Even when Carver got a cold, she somehow managed to never catch it. And now she was feeling sick? "No, I haven't felt sick in a while. Since the last time Carver gave me a cold," he chuckled, but it was a nervous laugh. He was suddenly worried... the last time Serena was really sick, she was pregnant and popping out a baby in a few months. "Are you ok?"

"I think so... I just feel really nauseous but it's not just today like I've been feeling sick all week." Serena still wasn't putting what he already had together in his head. She just thought that it was something just a stomach bug though she really didn't get sick often. She had a nice strong immune system which was actually pretty lucky since someone had to take care of Drake and Carver when they got sick. Apparently now it was time to flip roles and have Drake care of her which had hadn't needed to do since she was pregnant! "I wonder what's going on with me but don't worry. I don't want to ruin our trip just because I'm maybe getting sick."
She wasn't even sure if she was getting sick! Maybe it was just anxiety. She was in complete denial about the idea of a pregnancy; another baby would make her dreams even harder to reach!

"Serena, don't beat around the bush here with me." He said sternly, looking at her, making strong eye contact. He grabbed her hand and held it close to his chest, trying to smile. "If you think you're pregnant... well, maybe you are... We should get this checked out. Carvie was a nice surprise but I don't think I could handle another sudden addition to the family. I'd like to know, you know?"

"She was a nice surprise but I don't think that I'm pregnant. I think that I'm just getting sick but I bet that they sell pregnancy tests in the little shop at the hotel, I mean, they have everything else." Serena tried to assure him with a confident smile. She wasn't so good at lying to him though so it was obvious that she was worried, too. So she was probably pregnant again and that was going to ruin her plans. She couldn't quit if they had another baby! She wanted to go to college and do something that she enjoyed but how could she manage working full-time and going to school? And daycare is expensive!
She was a mother now and being a mother meant making sacrifices but she never imagined that one of them would be college.

Getting to his feet, he offered Serena his hand and helped her up. Then he turned and waved to Carver to get out of the water. "Come on, you go get the test and I'll take Carver up to bed. It's getting to be late, anyway." He picked up a towel and helped their daughter out of her floaties and inner tube. He pulled the plugs on them so that they would deflate, then wrapped Carver in a towel and softly rubbed the towel to dry her, which made her laugh. "Go on, we want to be sure it's not just a bug." He said to Serena.

"Alright.... I'll meet you guys back at the room." Serena sighed heavily before kissing Carver on the forehead along with her handsome husband. "Infinity, baby, remember infinity." What would he do if he knew that she was saying that for herself not him? She was the one who needed to remember what infinity stood for and how her career dreams didn't matter because her family dreams already came true when she and Drake got married.
She felt so awkward buying a pregnancy test in a store at a Disney hotel but it had to be done. The cashier saw her wedding ring and kindly asked if they'd been trying to which she lied and responded saying that they had been wanting to have another baby for awhile and that she was late. The cashier asked some awkward questions before she finally finished ringing her up. She was scared! What if she was pregnant! She didn't want to deal with getting Carver ready for bed which sounded terrible but her thoughts were racing. So, she did the only logical thing for someone who was worried about being pregnant; she smoked a cigarette.
She knew how irresponsible that it was considering that she was probably pregnant but she couldn't help it. She needed to smoke to calm herself down but she regret it when she realized that she didn't have any perfume to cover up the smell so she had to walk into their room reeking of smoke. "Back, baby." She was secretly hoping to hear Carver was already asleep in the connecting room so they could take the test without worrying about Carver seeing and questioning it. How would this affect her life?

"Hey," Drake called from the bedroom. He was lying in bed with Carver, a book out on her lap, his hands up to sign. "I'm reading to Carvs, I'll be out in a minute." He flipped the page of the book and finished signing the story. He kissed her forehead, said goodnight, and turned off the lamp before heading out and closing the door lightly.
From there, he jumped onto the bed he shared with Serena, kicking off his shoes and grabbing a beer from the mini fridge under the night stand. "So do you have it? Do you think you're really pregnant? Did you take it yet?"

Serena took the test while he finished up the story and was crying by the time that he got to their bed. "Drake.... I'm pregnant." She felt like the same seventeen year old who got pregnant in high school; she was scared! She didn't want to end up being a hair stylist for the rest of her life. She knew that things could be worse but she didn't know if she wanted this baby! She didn't know if she could handle it if another baby was deaf, it was hard adjusting to Carver and knowing that she would never hear them or speak. She still struggled with it sometimes! "I need a cigarette." She didn't care if they were in a hotel room or that she was pregnant. She stood up and went to the window so she could smoke.

Drake grabbed his pack of cigarettes and met her at the window. He lit her up and then lit his, opening the frame to let the smoke out. He reached his hand around her back to pull her against him, their hips lining up. "It's... it's ok, Serena... If you need an abortion..." He wasn't happy with that idea but maybe it had to happen. She seemed upset over it - she was smoking in the same hotel suite as Carver, which she never would have done, had she not been worried.

Serena didn't want a baby but she really didn't want an abortion, either. She could barely hold her cigarette! Her hands were shaking so severely, how did this happen? How did she end up pregnant again? She always imagined that she would plan her next baby not an accident. "I don't know what to do." She admitted with a shaky tone.
She didn't even know what to say! "Do you want a baby?" She asked with a heavy sigh, "I wanted to go back to school after Carver was a little older, how am I going to do that if we have a baby? I am going to be stuck at the same dead end job that I hate forever." She'd never actually admitted to anyone that she hated her job; she always acted like it was what she wanted but it was nowhere near where she wanted to be.

Drake wasn't sure what to say. Did he want another baby? No, not right now. Carver and her disability were still a handful but... could he really take his wife to get their child aborted? No. He couldn't do that... "Serena, I... I would like another child, yes. I never thought we'd have one so soon but... perhaps it's meant to be. A for-the-best sort of thing." He shrugged, taking a drag on his cigarette.
"Look... you can quit your job right now. I can take care of us with what we make right now... I can let a few mechanics go from the shop and take over their jobs, then we'll be keeping more money and... I can stop entering in so many races, the entrance fees are expensive... We'll make it, don't you worry. I just want you to be happy if we have another baby and I want you to go to college again if that's what you want."
