Nate really deserved this.
He was always suffering because of her busy schedule from having to move around in the past to her having to miss his school things now. Isabel was trying her best but it was tough to make it as a single mother even if she did have money in the bank and a home of her own. She wasn't by any meaning of the word desperate for money but those women in labor... they needed her. She was a midwife which meant that she was pretty much constantly on call as they couldn't just go to someone else to deliver their baby.
She owed these women! But today was a special day for just her and the only man in her life. She'd called the mothers that she was working with and informed them of this and recommended that if they happened to go into labor today then to please call her assistant who was very much capable of delivering a baby in her absence. She ran her fingers through her hair and watched with a small smile as her son played on the swing set.. He always looked so happy that she wondered if he even needed Jonathan but then the dark realization came to mind that he would eventually ask about his father and she had no explanation as to why he wasn't around.
What was she suppose to say? I just didn't feel like trying to tell him? I didn't think you needed him?
She knew that Jonathan would have been a great father as he had always been a terrific dad to Cici but she just hadn't really given much thought to the idea of telling Jonathan that he was the father.. She knew that she could do it on her own and she wasn't scared to. Being back with Jonathan and raising their son would've meant giving up her freedom and she absolutely loved how much traveling she got in and she got to do it all with her little man.
