Going slow was never this hard before! Hell, they had what felt like hours of foreplay before they had sex the first time and now this was hard for her. Raine was relieved as he pulled her clothes off of her body. This was hard and she wanted him to just let her have the release that he had denied her the night before thanks to that damn cake and Jack.
{Skipped~ :3}
Oh sweet Jesus! That was the most amazing sex! It was so much better than the crazy animal sex that they'd been having lately.
Raine felt complete as she snuggled close to Elliot's body. It was every bit as sweet and slow as she had been wanting though she wasn't entirely sure that he appreciated that she kept telling him to go slower which was the opposite of what she usually did. She was just in a cuddly cute mood so she was just planting kisses along his face and running her fingers through his hair. It was relaxing to just lay there completely naked next to her just as naked fiance. The only thing that she was wearing was her perfect engagement ring.
"Baby... That was so so good.... The best sex we have had since our first time." Oh their first time. Their first time would always go down as the absolute best time. It was the true definition of making love in her opinion. Dallas Kennedy had almost ruined sex for her forever but Elliot Gates restored her faith that it was more than just physical.

Elliot rolled onto his back, still breathing kind of heavy. He missed gentle sex, even if it took twice as long. The feelings behind it reminded him of of why it was so special in the first place and why it was called 'making love.'
He let her snuggle up close to his warm body. He was her personal space heater, which was good because their bedroom seemed like it was the coldest room in the house. Maybe it was just him, or the fact that the house was kind of older, or maybe he was just weird, but he liked it this way because it always brought Raine closer to him.
Elliot played with the back of her hair, "I'm glad you're happy, baby." He wouldn't say it was the best since their first time, but he would never let Raine know that! Yeah, it was sweet and memorable, but he had had a taste of her wild side, and he missed it.
The two laid there, Elliot practically silent the whole time. He was suddenly feeling like a weight had been attached to his eyelids and he found himself fighting to keep them open. He rolled onto his side to face her. "Raine?" He pushed. That was all he could manage to get out before his body shut down and he fell asleep next to her.
~~~ He couldn't have been out any more than two hours, but he was woken up by the doorbell going off. He pinched his eyebrows together and groaned as he stuffed his face into the pillow. Who the hell was at their house? Jack was the only person that knew where they lived at the moment unless Raine was called someone like James or Landon or Estelle.
He dragged himself out of the bed and threw his clothes back on. Raine was still laying in bed, looking absolutely perfect. He smiled and left the room to answer the front door. As he reached the bottom stair, the doorbell went off again. God, whoever it was was fucking impatient.
Elliot unlocked the door and slowly opened it. No. Elliot's heart sank into the bottom, deepest corner of his heart when he saw who was at the door. How did he find out where they lived? How, fuck, why was he even here? Eric Gates, Elliot's brother who he had never mentioned to Raine for his own reasoning. It was good enough reasoning to him. And now that prick was showing up on his door step with a smile and open arms? Fuck no. He could go back to Brentwood because Elliot was not welcoming him in this house.
Elliot took one look at his brother, and shut the door in his face and walked into the kitchen. "You've got to be fucking kidding me." Elliot mumbled to himself. The nerve! He tried to calm himself down for Raine's sake as he hastily grabbed a bagel and angrily slapped on the cream cheese. He didn't even bother toasting it first. Hell, he wasn't even hungry, his appetite went out the slammed door.
Raine wasn't going to tell Elliot this but having a taste of his sweet and gentle side, she didn't want to go back to the regular rough animal style sex. She missed that. Was it so wrong that she just wanted to be close to her fiance like this? She knew how he felt about her wild side sexually but she was currently pregnant with his twins and the least that he could do was do what made her most comfortable. Her poor breasts were starting to get swollen and tender to the touch even brushing against things made her cringe.
She didn't want to make him feel badly though so she was keeping all of the pain to herself and it didn't even hurt so much right now as she moved as close as possible to Elliot. "Mhmm... baby..." She was half asleep at the moment and her eyelids refused to stay open. It wasn't long before she was falling asleep on him which was okay since he was falling asleep, too. She could stay like this forever if it was possible.
There was nothing more comforting than laying next to him. She knew that it was colder in the room because she had the windows open but he didn't need to know that. She didn't feel safe when she wasn't laying this close to him. She felt like if he was right next to her than he could protect her from an intruder but if they were apart than he might not be able to. It didn't make much sense outside of her head but it all added up to her somehow.
~~~~~~
She was still exhausted when the doorbell went off and she was hoping with everything that she had that he wasn't going to go and get the door but he got up anyway much to her dismay so she just quickly put on her bra and panties and raced after him. It was probably just Jack and he'd already seen her naked so she wasn't worried about him seeing her in her underwear. He was practically family! Why in the hell did Elliot close the door? She figured that he was just trying to be funny so she shrugged and opened it. "I am so sorry that he.... You aren't Jack!" She laughed a tad nervously as she glanced down at her half naked body. Why hadn't she at least worn less sexy underwear? She was basically wearing lingerie for a stranger.
"Um.. Who are you? And do you wanna come inside for some breakfast? I can cook anything that you want or give you a massage or something like that?" She stepped out of the way so he could enter the house and suddenly regret her choice to begin wearing thongs in the first place. What if he was a rapist? "Elliot! Um can you come out here?"
She was actually kind of fearful of this stranger but she felt like she at least needed to try and be polite.

Eric smiled when Elliot opened the door, but laughed when he slammed it in his face without even so much as a hello. He dug his hands into his pockets and stood on the front porch. That was about the time that it was opened again, and to his surprise, a half naked hottie standing in the door way.
He grinned, loving how she just trusted him not to be some kind of rapist or serial killer. Maybe it was her brain noticing the resemblance between the two brothers, but either way he quickly took up her offer to come in. "Doesn't surprise me much that Elliot.. I'm sorry, miss. I'm Eric.." He paused to sneak a peak at Elliot who was staring at a fixed bagel. "I'm Eric Gates."
He shut the door behind him, smiling and taking her hand in his and gently planting a kiss on it. It looked like a gentleman move, but he was really just looking her over. He could feel Elliot's eyes burning on him, which only gave him a slight satisfaction. "You must be the lovely Miss Raine, yes?" He accent was the slitting image of Elliot's only his voice was deeper. "It's my pleasure. And what about you, little brother? No hello?" Eric asked, acting like the house was his as he walked into the kitchen.

Elliot watched as Raine went to open the door. What the hell? Should couldn't have put on a shirt or something at least? He knew exactly what Eric was going to do when she opened the door. He would be mentally fucking her like the pathetic nasty animal that he was. He wouldn't make himself out to be that though, no, he would wear the mask.
And he did, introducing himself like a gentleman, even kissing her hand. Elliot knew what he was really doing. He could see the delight all over his face. Elliot pulled off his shirt and joined Raine so she could put it on. It would cover most everything seeing as most of his shirts did.
He returned to leaning against the kitchen counter and threw his untouched bagel in the trash. "Hey." He said sharply. Elliot couldn't seem to grip why his brother, who he hadn't talked to in forever, just randomly showed up at his front door.. or even what he was doing in New York? He was sure enough going to find out.
Elliot didn't say anything else to his brother. He felt a little strange just being in sweats, but made himself get over it. Even though Elliot had grown since high school, Eric still stood taller than him. Maybe two inches, but still. Elliot's body posture showed that he was mildly intimidated by Eric's presence. Just hearing his voice brought back so many feelings that he didn't want to feel again. Memories from so many years ago.

Raine loved Elliot with all of her heart and soul but it was nice to have a guy kiss her hand and act all gentlemanly. "Awe! Aren't you charming?" She giggled and blushed a shade of crimson that she didn't even know existed! Her face was incredibly hot and she was worried that it was going to upset her new fiance if he saw. Speaking of him.. where was he? She was starting to get a little worried as to why he wasn't out there. Was he a serial killer? Rapist? But he didn't seem like any of those awful things!
She was relieved as he made his way over but a small part of her was half tempted to say something about how it was awfully sexist of Elliot to make her wear his shirt just because Eric was there but it smelled just like him and she felt comfortable in it... safe even. "It's nice to meet you!" She was going to pretend that she had any clue as to who he was because she figured that it would be sort of strange if she didn't. She leaned over to give the other man a hug before she went to Elliot's side like a good faithful fiancée would do.
Well.... until she opened her mouth. "I'm sorry that we're so casual right now! We were just upstairs making love not having crazy animal sex like usual." She smiled as she described every position, odd places that she liked to be touched and every sensitive part of his body that he liked her to touch in extremely graphic detail. She didn't even realize that she was over sharing! She just thought that this was normal!

Raine's pregnancy had seemingly flown by overnight! It was like they were finding out one second and then she was ready to pop at thirty-eight weeks well technically beyond ready to pop since she was considered full term for twins at thirty-four weeks so this was basically hell. She'd asked her doctor about an induction but she simply told them that the longer the babies stayed in, the better and recommended that they come in to be checked daily to monitor their daughters to ensure that their heart rates stayed normal. This morning, however, she had woken up with this strange cramping in her abdomen and not the usual body ache type from having an extra fifty pounds around.
She was pretty sure that she was going into labor but she didn't want to tell Elliot until she got her lunch! She had sent him on his way to pick up her current craving, McDonald's fries, for her since she knew that she wasn't going to be able to eat once she got to the hospital which was part of why she didn't want to give birth there but Elliot was so against an unassisted home birth. Why did he care? It wasn't like he was the one who was going to be giving birth! But she knew that his opinion was valid so she was just going to suck it up as long as he didn't do something stupid.
"God fucking damn." She kind of wanted to punch Elliot in the dick whenever she went through a more intense contraction but he wasn't back yet... luckily for him. How was she suppose to tell him that she was in labor anyway? Oh! She knew that it was kind of mean but she sat back on the couch with her feet on the coffee table and placed her hands over her stomach as if clenching it in pain.
He deserved this.
She was going to have his babies so he may as well have a small heart attack, right?

The last few months of their pregnancy had been rather easy on him. She wasn't as moody, well, Raine was still moody but not nearly as bad, and he was getting way too excited about Baye and Faith coming. Elliot knew that they could be here any day seeing as their actual due date was almost three weeks ago but their doctor said to wait as long as possible.
Raine had sent him on a little take out order to get her fries from McDonalds. It probably wasn't the best thing for her to eat but he did almost everything she asked without complaint or question. And that was a good thing for him because he wasn't looking to get Raine upset on any level. What if that alone could send her into labor?
He hurried back with Raine's large fry. Once he was at the door of their house, which he smiled at every time he saw it, he slid the key into the lock and opened the front door. "Raine, baby? I'm back." He called out into the quiet house. Where was she? Elliot laid his keys down on the kitchen counter and wondered around with the little white bag of greasy fried potato strips.
He walked into the living room to see Raine on the couch and holding her stomach. Something was off about her, way off. He had a gut instinct deep inside that he couldn't pin point. "Raine?" He asked, sitting down next to her and putting the bag on the coffee table. "Are you okay, darling?" She looked like she was in pain, and he was guessing it was just the twins moving around. They had gotten so big over the last four months it was kind of hard to grasp.

Honestly, Raine was doing this horrible trick because she wanted a false sense of control. She wanted to believe that she actually got to decide anything that happened and she felt safe at home like everything was going to be okay. What if it wasn't though? What if she died giving birth? She didn't think that she was unhealthy but nobody does. Who gives birth and expects to die? "Elliot..." She almost lost it right then and there and broke down about how she was terrified of never meeting their babies but she knew that would only serve to worry him more than she needed to.
Where was the big strong girl who was going to try and freak him out? "Elliot... I'm in...." She paused and let out a deep breath, "I'm in labor... I started having contractions this morning and I didn't want to scare you until I knew for sure and I know I am definitely in labor now... please don't be mad." What if he refused to take her to the hospital and made her drive as punishment? What if he didn't believe her?
She reached for his hand and gripped it as tightly as she physically could in her hand during a rather intense contraction. She wasn't breathing through it like they'd learned in their birthing classes which was only going to make it harder for her. "Elliot... Please.... make it stop." She was already begging him to make her labor end and it barely started! "I'm not ready!"
She wasn't.
There was so much that they hadn't done! She had spent so much of her pregnancy on bed rest that she felt like they had a million things to do even if most everything was already done. "Elliot... please... I'm not ready! I can't yet! I need more time." What was he suppose to do? If the babies wanted out then they were going to come out regardless of her wants.

Labor.. she's in labor. Elliot move! Do something! He yelled at himself but couldn't seem to move anything. Not even his hand when she took it to squeeze it, which he could feel hurting but he was too scared to move. How long did he have? How long would she be in this much pain? Would it worsen? The pain in his hand had intensified and brought him back to now.
"Ow, ow, ow." He muttered when he realized just how hard she was squeezing. He knew this whole near-broken hand thing wasn't going to end until they were holding their baby girls. But his hand would probably be broken anyway at the end of the day. He couldn't imagine the pain his dear Raine was going through.
"Come on, we have to go." He said. "Wait, wait, wait!" He made her stay sitting before he ran upstairs and grabbed the two bags that she had packed several months prior in special care of today. He sprinted back downstairs, nearly falling on the stairs because his knees felt like they wanted to give out. His mind was in such a panic that he couldn't remember where he laid his keys, even though he walked past them three times. Elliot turned again and saw them.
"Okay, let's go." He said, helping Raine up and nearly carrying her to the car. He figured that an ambulance was probably the better choice, but he couldn't be in there with her after what happened after her miscarriage. What if she gave birth in the ambulance to stillborns, and then passed herself? What if he lost everything he ever loved in just a matter of minutes? He couldn't live after that.
His car was definitely the better choice. He was so glad that they lived close to the hospital. The drive way quick, minus the traffic and laboring fiance in the passenger seat. "Honey, we're here. Stay in the car and I'll go grab a nurse or something." He said as he parked the car in the Emergency Room underpass.
{feel free to move this to the hospital c:}
