Matt could never stay away from the city for long. After two comforting days at his parents house, he woke up feeling he needed a change of scenery. Although he was no where near ready to go back to his and Prue's house, he felt ready enough to venture in to the city to get coffee.
It felt strange, sitting at a table alone. No one to talk to. A hot cup of steaming coffee placed in front of him. It was heavenly. It felt like forever since he'd drank coffee, seeing as there had been none in his parents house, and he was used to drinking it every day.
Matt was wearing his usual attire. Green plaid shirt, blue straight leg jeans and black converse. By his feet sat his beat up skateboard. It wasn't like there was much space to do any skating on the busy city streets, but he still liked to have it with him, just in case.
The table he was sitting at was right by the window, so as he sipped tentatively at his coffee he watched the world go by.

After being trapped at home, with madaline, who also had chicken pox, she needed to get out of that apartment. She had a bad feeling about everything, and a cup of coffee would have been good, as lomg as she didn't give the entire world chicken pox.
She figured she was over it, for the most part when she stopped being all itchy, but she kind of liked being taken care of by her husband. It was like, one side of her knew that something was going on, and the other, well it wanted to ignore the side of her telling her bad things. But, everyone knew Esme was a slut right? And the burn blog could lie, but it'd been right before too.
Walking into the coffee shop in a black hoodie, and a pair of tan skinny jeans, with a pair of black converse on her feet. She got a coffee, and looked around for somewhere to sit. She saw so many people, and just wanted to have someone here with her. Someone to sit and talk to, and letting her brown eyes scan the place she saw a familier face.
"Wow." She said as she walked over to him. Suprised to even see him."It's been a long time since ai've seen you." Since highschool? Yeah. She missed all her friends, from then, because most of them still wern't around. Of course she had Thalia, but shebdidn't really know how close they would ever be, Matt always seemed like he could be friends with anyone, and she sort of liked that about him.

Matt half expected to look up and see some fan of his band standing there. Which was something he could do without right now. Looking up, he was about to put on his best fake smile, but then saw who it was, and no longer needed to fake it.
'Rozzi!', he beamed up at the girl he hadn't seen since high school, unsure of how to properly greet her. Should he stand up and hug her? Maybe a friendly high-five? Matt decided against both those things and gestured for her to sit down. 'Hey, it has been a long time, how're you doing?', he asked her.

"Oh." She sat down. "Good. I guess you?" She took a sip of her coffee and stared down at it. She shrugged. Good was a good word for it, "I hope you've had chicken pox before." She joked. Knowing it wasn't really that funny, she was pretty sure that you couldn't spread it after you had it, but she wasn't a doctor.

'I'm okay I guess', Matt replied, smiling a little to himself. What a lie that was. Still, he wasn't just going to unload all of his issues on to Rozzi. This was the first time they'd seen each other in five years, so he was guessing that'd be kind of a downer.
'Yeah I had them when I was a kid, do you have them now?', Matt studied her face, he couldn't really see any spots on her, 'Where did you catch them from?', he asked. It wasn't very often you saw adults with chicken pox, it was more of a kid thing.

"Uh." she shrugged. "I did." She took another sip of her coffee. "My daughter came home from school with them, but I never had them with I was a kid." It sounded stupid saying it, because well who never had chicken pox when they were a kid? She kind of wished she hadn't told him, because he probably thought it was weird too.

'You have a daughter?', Matt exclaimed, smiling a little too widely. It was strange, he'd never pictured Rozzi as a mother. Matt laughed and took a sip of his coffee. 'I'm sorry, I was way too enthusiastic about that wasn't I?', he asked, smiling up at her.

"Oh yeah." She smiled. "Madaline, she's five." She said chuckling. "I can't believe that sometimes." She shrugged. "Not to many guys are happy to see a girl with a kid, it's not a bad thing to be over enthuistic about it." She was honestly suprised he was. It was good to have someone think it was cool to have a kid at such a young age.

'I had no idea', Matt replied, still smiling. 'I love kids, so, yeah, I don't know. I think it's awesome you have a kid. I'm guessing you're still with Max?', he asked, finishing off the last dregs of his coffee. In the bottom of the cup was a small pile of half-dissolved sugar. Despite how childish he looked, Matt stuck his finger in the cup, scooping out the sugar and licking it from his finger.

She sighed. Not really wanting to unload everything on him. She smiled, "Yeah." She said laughing as he stuck his finger in the cup. She was in the habit, of telling Madaline not to play with her food , but technecally it wasn't food, and she was tempted to tell him nit to do that, but she didn't. "He's...." She shrugged. "I thought it was really cute that he took care of me when I had chicken pox." She didn't know what she was telling him, or why she was telling him that, but she knew there was a good guy in Max. "So what about you?" She asked. "Are you married or?" She let her voice trail off as she looked at him, waiting for an answer.

Matt hesitated, pushing his cup across the table from one hand to the other. 'Technically I'm married to Prudence Keaton, you remember her?', he waited for Rozzi to nod before continuing, 'We had this big fight though, she cheated on me, and ... yeah, we're not together anymore...', he trailed off, with a confused expression.

"She cheated on you?" She asked not meaning to pry, but it was hard to believe that, she was one of the sweetest girls, even if she only knew her a little, she was still just not the kind of girl sge would imagine cheating on her husband. Especially not someone like Matt. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to pry or anything, but I just can't imagine her cheating." She sighed, taking another sip from her cup. "So where are you staying...? I mean I assume you guys lived together." She felt like she was prying into his personal life a little to much with that question, but it was to late to take it back

Matt just nodded, he understood why it was hard to believe. It wasn't like he thought she was the type of girl to cheat either. 'I'm living with my parents, in New Jersey', he replied, feeling lame the instant the word escaped his lips. Blushing he looked down in to his empty cup. Wishing he had more coffee. Coffee heals all ills, even heart break.

"Oh..." She wasn't sure what to say next. "That sounds like fun." Although she wouldn't know what it was like to go back and move in with her parents, one because she didn't have parents, and two if she and Max split up she was pretty sure they wouldn't, but she'd find a friend to stay with, she was sure that she didn't want to go back home. She really enjoyed having her own life. "Are you going to forgive her?" She asked finally, wondering what she would do if she were in that situation.

'Probably not', Matt replied, putting it bluntly. He then stood up, pointing at his empty cup, and then to the counter. 'You want anything, like a muffin, more coffee?', he asked. Anything to get off the topic of Prue.
