Jaxon smiled at her and made a rather large O out of his mouth going "ooooh" as he clapped his hands when the drink changed colors. "What magical powers you possess!" he said in a British accent as he grabbed the drink from her and downed it before poring her another. "M'dear Naveah, I do believe I'm already feeling slightly drunk," he said, the accent still loud and proud. "Will you dance with meeee?" He stood, extending his hand towards her.
Was he drunk? Not likely. It takes a lot to get him drunk. But who said he couldn't act like he was? What's the fun in drinking ridiculously strong alcohol and not being drunk?

Naveah downed her next glass in two seconds flat, then coughed. It was sweet at first but after the first gulp, Arak was like fire in your throat that consumed your veins. She laughed when he offered a dance, not entirely believing that he was getting drunk - however, she was actually kind of tipsy. She hadn't really had alcohol much before, so this was new to her. Taking his hand, he let her pull her out to the dance floor, where she glanced at the band. Something about that singer... it was weird how familiar he looked. She forgot about that, though, and just let him lead her to the dancing.
The song was fast but not too fast. It wasn't a slow dance either, but they could dance together, instead of dancing like some teenagers clubbing. She put her arms around his neck, waiting for him to put his hands around her waist. Then she just swayed her hips slightly, afraid that moving too quickly would make her fall over. "God, that stuff is strong." She breathed, laughing. Her face was red and she was blushing just from touching him. "I miss hanging out with you, Jax."

Jaxon smiled at her as she put her arms around and his neck and in return wrapped his own arms around her waist, pulling her close. "I miss hanging out with you too," he said in what would have been a quiet voice, but he had to sort of shout it because of the loud music. "I don't wanna stop hanging out with you ever again. I want you to be with me all the time," he said, equally as loud, but a bit more of a loving tone to his voice. Leaning in to kiss her, Jaxon felt like he always hoped he would when he found that special somebody. It was just like a movie.
Everything was flashing back in his face now. The visit with his brothers, how his brothers used to treat him, how his father treated him, how he'd been locked in the dark, how he hated the dark so much... Oh how he hated the dark...
He blanked for a minute, sort of blindly touching his lips to Naveah's, his eyes shut tight. In real life, he was kissing Naveah. But in his mind.. in his mind he was back in the closet. Trapped. In the dark.
He twitched rather aggressively when he suddenly removed his face from Naveah's. "I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to jerk back.. its just.. I dunno.. just.." he stuttered helplessly as his eyes shot from floor tile to floor tile, avoiding eye contact.
(this is your cue to be all cute and comfort him haha)

When Jaxon leaned in for the kiss, she was happy to return the affection. But halfway through, she opened her eyes and she knew... something was wrong. There wasn't any love in the kiss like there normally was - not that it was an intense burning passion, but there was always some sort of feeling there and now... there wasn't. When he pulled away, she looked at him, eyebrows furrowed and eyes wide, confused with his actions. For a moment, she panicked; Am I bad at kissing? Does he not like me the way I like him? Did I do something wrong?
But the tone in his voice led her to believe it was something else. Taking her hands away from his neck, she reached down for her waist, pulling one of his hands away so she could hold it in hers. She laced their fingers like they always did, then reached up and gently pressed her other hand to his cheek, just for a lingering moment. "Jaxon; you can talk to me about anything, you know you can." She whispered, as if begging for him to tell her. "Fate brought us together and I know you need someone to listen to you. Let it out, then," she trailed her fingers down his jawline, then dropped her hand to her side, conflicted. What was this about?

Jaxon closed his eyes when she touched his face, only slowly opening them once her fingers fell from his chin. "Its nothing," he said with a small smile. Exhaling, the smile grew bigger as his eyes caught hers. "Honestly. I was just.. remembering," he shook his head, shaking the thoughts away. "Won't happen again," he added as he squeezed her hand in his before dropping it and pulling her close again. "Where were we?" he asked, the British accent back.

Naveah sighed, sensing that it was more than just that. Putting her hands on his shoulders hesitantly, she looked him in the eye and gave him a stern glance. "Don't lie to me. I know it wasn't just remembering, it was remembering something... important." She frowned at him, her eyebrows wrinkling and dark eyes glazed with worry. "And you and I both know that it's going to happen again. This has happened before, don't pretend that I don't know you as well as I do." She reached up again, her hand against her cheek, comfortingly. "Can't you tell me?" She whispered.

"I just don't want to ruin our night," he said, bringing out the puppy dog eyes. "We're having so much fun, don't let my psychotic brain ruin it." He sighed, then went silent for a few minutes. Looking at her again, he noticed she hadn't dropped eye contact and that stern look was still across her face. He shook his head. "It was what it always is. The reoccurring dream that is my childhood. Darkness. Everywhere. My dad, Valiant, the smoke, Grey.. It hit me because I didn't want to be alone. I don't ever want to be alone. I want to be with you," He'd been talking rather seriously, rather darkly, about his memories when quite suddenly, he switched to romantic so she wouldn't worry. "You help me, Naveah. You erase those thoughts from my head," he said as he tightened his arms around her waist.

"You could never ruin anything, Jax, I love your psychoatic brain, even if I do worry about you sometimes..." She whispered, gently running her fingers through his hair before dropping her hand back down to his shoulder. She never broke eye contact with him, listening to every word he said and making sure he was finished before she replied. She thought over it for a moment, trying to take everything into consideration. This dream that haunted him, the flashbacks... she could only imagine how difficult it would be to relive. And to never want to be alone? That was normal for most people but Jax made it different; he didn't just never want to be alone, something told her he needed to never be without someone to talk to. Someone like... her.
As he tightened his grip, she stepped closer, eliminating the space between them. She looked up at him softly with large eyes, smiling. "I do?" She was a little unsure if she entirely erased those thoughts from his mind - he did just have another episode - but she wanted to believe that she was, at least a little bit, his saving grace. She leaned up slightly to kiss him softly on the lips, then looked away with a blush. Every time they kissed, she felt something and it made her giddy with joy.

"For the most part," he said with a quirky smile as he kissed her back. He giggled when she looked away. "Why don't we eat before it gets too cold?" he said, leading her once again off the dance floor and back to their little table. Sliding in first, he patted the bench space next to him signalling for her to sit and then stuck a fork into the meat. He took the bite, nodded in approval, put down his fork and pored more of the arak. "Go big or go home," he said throwing down the shot then following it with more of the shawarma.

Naveah blushed again as he patted the bench for her to sit next to him. Taking her seat, she looked down at her plate, taking a few bites. It wasn't half bad, but she had to say she liked the Arak better than just the food. Perhaps that was because drinking while underage was more fun than eating foods with weird names at a restaurant. She scooped up some rice from the bowl they hand put down, then abandoned the food on her plate for another few glasses of Arak. It was weird, how much she liked it, even though it was kind of bitter. She laughed when he said 'go big or go home' which made her take another shot. Then she grinned at him, and nudged him with her elbow. "So, what do you think of this?" She asked, gesturing to the food. She didn't know what else to talk about, and her voice was kind of shakey, probably from the drinking, or perhaps from all the kissing.

Jaxon took another bite before answering her question. "Its not bad," he said nodding. "But then again, I eat anything. It might actually be horrible." He smiled at her in attempt to make her laugh.
Grabbing another glass of the arak, he downed it, slammed the glass on the table and looked at her. "Hey.. you wanna go back to my place?" he asked, squinting slightly and cocking his head to the side.

Naveah: By the time Jax suggested they go back to his place, Naveah had downed two other glasses of Arak and finished half of her food. She smiled when he suggested that, her fuzzy mind not entirely sure what he was suggesting. She wasn't drunk, but she couldn't walk very straight. Laughing, she got out of the booth so that he could follow. Giving him a kiss on the cheek, she went over to look over the live band's merchandise while he paid for the dinner.
Dalton: Dalton looked over at the girl as she flipped through the CD's he had put out on a table. He was doing the gig alone with a few of the restaurant's normal band members, and so he felt the need to advertise some more for his regular show. There was a banner that said "Body" hanging over a booth and he had many track CD's and posters down on the table below. He watched pick up a poster and a CD, leaving ten dollars on the table.
Finishing his last set quickly, he rushed off of the stage, swinging his guitar around his back. Before she could leave the table, he tapped her on the arm. At first, he was sure she couldn't be who he thought she was but... when he pulled the most recent picture he had of her out of his wallet and held it up. She frowned at him, about to walk away when he said her name. "Naveah?"
Both: Naveah looked at the lead singer, confused. He knew her? Had he gone to Foxhurst with her or something? That couldn't be anyone she knew, she didn't remember any black haired, slightly Latino boys from her school - especially not ones who were famous. She raised an eyebrow, squinting at him. "Uh, yeah? What..?"
"My name is uh, Diego. Boyd. I go by Dalton now a days is... is this you?" He held up the picture and her eyes widened as she nodded. He could only guess how suspicious she must be but he had to know. "I don't want to uh, upset you but -- I, I'm related to you. Your half brother. I remember when you were growing up, your parents, the Withers... they sent me pictures of you and stuff." He half-smiled at her, then put the picture away. "I think we should talk sometime."
Without another word, he handed her a card with his number on it and disappeared back stage of the band. Naveah turned around, putting the card in her pocket, and was about to walk back to the booth when she walked into Jaxon. "Did you see that?" She asked, incredulous. She couldn't believe Dalton Boyd was insisting upon being her sibling!!

Jaxon sort of frowned, putting on his best fake 'jealous boyfriend' look. "Who's that, your boyfriend?" he asked sarcastically, with a smile so she wouldn't take him seriously. "What'd he want?" he asked after a hiccup, taking her hand as he lead her back to the front door of the restaurant. He sighed as he looked out the window, noticing it was still raining.
(sorry its short but this girl won't shut up..)

Naveah laughed when he pulled the jealous boyfriend thing, putting her arm around his shoulder and giving him a sort of sloppy kiss before he took her hand. She stumbled a little getting to the door, not so much drunk as really surprised. Before they walked into the rain, she tugged on his hand to stop him. "Jaxon, he said he's my brother and he gave me his number." She nibbled on her lower lip, eyebrows furrowed. "That's why I can't think straight right now... it's so weird, that he would recognize me. He said my adoptive parents sent him pictures and letters and things... I've always wanted a brother." She smiled sadly. "He must have known our mother..."
Shaking her head, as if to clear it, she clutched his hand tighter and tried to grin before laughing happily and leading him outside to stand under the portico. For a moment, she just listened to the rain hitting the flimsy little roof, then she walked out into the pelting water droplets. Holding out her arms, she just let herself get slightly damp, looking at him with bright eyes. "I've always wanted to be kissed in the rain!" She yelled over the noise. "Come on!" She beckoned him with a finger.

Jaxon was very interested when she spoke about the guy in the band. A brother? Well that'd be interesting!
He smiled gently when she walked into the rain, tilting his head to the side before looking up at the sky from under the little awning. He pouted lightly and mouthed "but i'll get wet" before slapping his thighs and entering the rain, his shoulders almost up to his ears. "A kiss?" he asked before leaning in, not waiting for her reply.
This was going to be romantic.
Slowly, Jaxon brought his hands up to her cheeks, holding her face softly. He closed his eyes as he placed his lips against hers, not even hesitating to slip his tongue between them. One hand fell from her face to her lower back, pulling her closer so there was no space between them.
