Thalia couldn't help but laugh. "We've had a lot of ways out of being together those three years, and neither one of us ever took the chance to run. So, why do it now?'she said with a smile. She took a sip out of her glass and sighed. "Here's the thing, Kegan. I don't mind starting over. At all. I just... I don't want to be living in the shadow of your relationship with Liz. That's the only thing I am worried about when it comes to starting over..."she paused thinking for a second. "If you're willing to give this a fresh start, and you think you can handle this. I'm in for it if you are"she said with a smile. Then she thought about the both different people part, "You might be a different person, but i'm almost exactly the same. Except more mature"she said. She was being honest. Not many things about her has changed. She is still the same person she used to be pretty much.

Kegan pursed his lips, thinking for a minute. "I can try..." He wasn't sure how he would do in a relationship with anyone who wasn't Thalia, but he was willing to try with her. Anyone else in the world and he would be gone. But he was willing to do anything for Thal.
It was weird. After all this time and falling head over heels for someone else, he was still sitting here with Thalia, trying to make things work again. It almost made him feel bad. But he knew Liz enough to know that if she were here, she would want him to be happy no matter what. She didn't chose to die, but she loved Kegan more than anything. There was no way she would have expected him to live his entire life alone just because she was no longer there to be apart of it.
"Maybe someday we can have the life you always thought we would...marriage...kids...a family together..." Kegan had the distinct feeling he was going too far with it, but he knew that Thalia wanted to marry him when they were together. She wanted to be a Conley. And she would have fit perfectly into his family. Sure, having Liz there was great - she was just like his mom. But Thalia was like this little piece that they always had missing.

"Kegan, you already have three kids. Do you really want more?"Thalia asked with a small laugh. Part of her was only teasing him, but the other part was serious. She wanted kids before she got older. A kid that was actually hers by law. Not like Emily who's adopted, or to be a step mother. She wants to have a baby for herself. And actually go throw to whole pregnancy, get a big belly, the whole thing sounded exciting to her. It was like her and Carol were the only people without kids. She was jealous.
Thalia took a sip out of her wine glass, before looking out at the city then back at Kegan. "You're sure you want to do this, Key? We don't have to. Honestly"she said giving him one last out encase he didn't want to do this again with her. She didn't want him to feel like he had to do something. Especially not if he was just doing it because he felt like he had to. Marriage with Kegan honestly didn't sound bad. Being in love with him in general sounded amazing. She missed him. A lot. And if he was serious about this... Being back with her. She would be extremely happy.

Kegan shrugged. "Milo and Mona aren't really mine though. They don't live with me, they're not legally my kids...I only really have Beth. So I think I would want to have a few more kids some day."
He turned his wine glass around in his hands, thinking over her question. Do I really want this? He took a few bites of his few in silence. He wanted to be sure he wanted to be in a relationship before he just jumped into something again.
"I think so," he said after a while. "I'd be willing to try again with you." He put more emphasis on the word to show her that if it were anyone else, he wouldn't even be considering it.

Thalia nodded, "It's the same with Milo and Mona as it is for Emily and I"she said showing her understood what he was saying about them not being legally his. She glanced up at him, while they were on the subject of kids. "So, I know Beth isn't with your 'nanny' because I'm not stupid, and it was obvious you were lying... Who is she with? Your parents or Carol?"she asked curiously. Emily was with Uncle Max right now, since it was her night to get Emily anyways. But, Max didn't mind watching Emily. He loved her. He was actually trying to convince her to play Softball so they can have something in common.
Thalia took a couple bites out of her salad, then looked up at Kegan as she ran a hand through her hair. "Thank you for giving us a second chance, Kegan"she said with a smile. For some reason, she couldn't help but think of his parents. "Do you think your parents will still like me?"she asked curiously. I mean, it's been three years. You never know if they found like a random reason to just like hate her fucking guts or something. People are weird. They sometimes do that kind of thing...

Kegan laughed. "She's with my dad. My mom went back to the house to check up on some stuff, so Beth's staying there until we finish up..." He shrugged. He was a little embarrassed about being called out on his lie, but he should have known that Thalia would pick up on it.
He ate some more of his calamari as she thanked him for giving them a second chance. He didn't think he really deserved any sort of gratitude on that. She shouldn't even be here with him. He was a horrible guy to her. During the course of their relationship he cheated with his ex, flirted with multiple girls, had crazy doubts, and then left her for someone else. He was awful. But for some crazy reason, Thalia still wanted to be with him. "You really shouldn't be giving me a second chance. It's kind of a stupid thing to do, honestly." He was probably confusing her with his mixed signals, but what was he to do? He wasn't going to lie about the way he felt. "And of course they don't hate you. I don't even think my mother is capable of hating anyone, especially not you."

"You're willing to give us a second chance, I'm willing to give you a second chance... I've never been smart when it come to relationships, or giving guys second chances. So, it doesn't matter to me how stupid it is"Thalia said with a sigh. He was giving her a lot of mixed signals. And at this point, she wasn't sure if he was really wanting to do this anymore. She was honestly willing to try Team Conson again if he was. How it would end up... They don't know. But she hoped good. It was confusing though.... One minute he's saying how maybe they could end up how she always thought they would, Married, kids, a family. Then the next he's telling her how stupid it is for her to give him another chance. Can this guy ever make up his mind? Like what the fuck? She listened to what he said about his mother, "And why especially not me?"she asked raising a eye brow.

Kegan shrugged. "She thinks of you as like her daughter, it'd be kind of hard for her to hate her daughter. The only reason she never contacted you after we broke up was out of respect for my wife." This was the most he'd ever talked about Liz, and it was starting to make him kind of sad. It was a really sensitive subject so the more it got brought up, the sadder it made him. He downed the rest of the wine in his glass, and poured himself some more. He was becoming a little tipsy, so he knew he'd have to stop eventually. Good thing he had his driver though, so he didn't have to worry about that.
"I think if you called her up, she'd really enjoy that. She still has the same number." He finished off his food, and set his plate aside for the waiter to take before their second course came out.

Thalia placed her hand on his and gave him a kind smile. "You don't have to bring up Liz, I can tell it bothers you"she said. Then moved her hand and took her last bite out of her salad and set it aside. When he mentioned giving Mrs. Conley a call she smiled. "I'll definitely do that. I've missed talking to your mom. She's amazing"she said with a small laugh. All the Conley's were amazing. She looked out at the city. "I've been considering training again, try to get into gymnastics again. I'm just not sure if I should though"she said out of random thought. It was the one thing other then Kegan and Emily that had always made her happy. Just the thought of getting back up there on the beam or uneven bars and all made her smile.
She glanced over at Kegan, "So... How often are we going to be doing this? Going on dates and all?"she asked randomly. She didn't mind how often they would be going out. Even if it was once a month. It was just the thought of them starting fresh that made her happy... Maybe she can help remind him of the reason he fell in love with her in the first place.
