Carol liked choclate. He knew that. Wyatt knew everything about Carol, he'd been dating her for five years, of course he did. Being twenty two, and almost done with college, well it was diffrent then being in high school, but he was pretty much the same, as five years ago, byt six years ago? He never would have imagined himself here. Why? Well before he met her. Carol. The girl he loved, he'd been a jerk to people, just to get what he wanted from them. He would have never thought he'd be in a relationship for this long. Even five years ago.
But he was there. Looking stupid, with his long brown hair, and big brown eyes, waiting for Carol to show up. Where had those five years gone? Well they wern't wasted, he'd spent that time with his friend, and his amazing girlfriend. Who he hoped would be more then a girlfriend to him soon.
The place smelled good. Like candy, as he assumed it should, for a restruant named caffe chocolat. There was all kinds of chocolate here, and it was the perfect place to bring her on a birthday date.

Carol paid and jumped out of her cab, running into the restaurant. Rehearsals had run over again. She was always late to things because of it, and she hated making people wait on her. She saw him seated, and quickly hustled over to him giving him a quick kiss before sitting down. "Hi, baby. I'm sorry I'm late. There was an issue with costumes. Someone ripped theirs and you know we're performing tomorrow and..." she shook her head. There were always problems, especially with this cast. Poor Kegan had a lot to deal with.
She was wearing a purple romper and knee high gladiator sandals. There was a few paparazzi waiting outside the theatre, so she was glad she looked halfway decent today. "I didn't even know this place existed!" She said looking around. He surely knew how to take her out for birthday dinner. The room smelled like pure chocolate, and chocolate was her favorite thing in the world.
A lot had changed over the years. For one, little Carol was now a cancer survivor. Thankfully though, Wyatt stood by her the entire time. It only made their love stronger, really. It'd been five years since they first fell in love, and she thought everything was perfect. They were the only couple she knew from high school that weren't bogged down with a bunch of kids. Mostly because she couldn't have any, but... She was so glad to be with Wyatt. He was the perfect boyfriend. The one thing she wanted to change was their relationship status. She was ready to be Mrs. Carol Parks and to stop calling him her boyfriend. Every now and then, she found herself talking about marriage with him, hoping that he'd take the hint and put a ring on it. So far though, he hadn't done anything.

"It's fine." He said. "You're not that late." So she was a little late. "I know it's not your birthday, but happy birthday." He grinned. He knew she was going to have a party, later, and then she would get her present. "You look nice." He said. He was glad they wern't like all their friends... Tied down with kids at an early age. Ha. Not that he didn't want kids someday, but the fact that Carol couldn't have them really wasn't a horrible thing in his mind. They could do whatever they wanted. Without kids to tie them down. She could be an actor, on brodway, and not have to worry about kids. "Yeah.. This place is good I heard." He shrugged. "I picked it out for you." He added. "So I hope you like it."

Carol smiled at him. "You know me so well," she said and leaned forward to kiss him. "This is really sweet though, baby. I'm glad you brought me here. My day was hell, so I want to hear about yours, and it better be awesome!"
Wyatt just meant everything to her. Every time she looked at him, she saw everything she wanted out of life. He was the one she wanted to marry and stay with forever. No one could make her feel the way he did, no one knew her the way he did. She never would have thought when they first started dating that they'd be together for this long. She was sure he would have dumped her by now, but he was still with her and he was still treating her like a princess. And they'd also adopted three more babies after Hanna Noel — Nikolai Adam, Hollyn (Holly for short) McKenzie, and Pierre William. They were the Parks babies. Since Carol couldn't have children, Wyatt had showered her with kittens. They'd thought about getting a dog, but it hadn't happened yet...

"Uh huh. I know everything about you." When the waitress walked up to their table he ordered a coke for both of them. "And my day... It was ok... You know just the same thing I do every day." He chuckled. "What about you? You know I want to hear all about your day." He paused for a second. "Oh your play is tommrrow right?" He asked. He was pretty sure it was, though. She knew he would be there to see her, and he'd bring her dasies, like an amazing boyfriend.
He remembered the.times she'd made him do plays in high school. He wasn't any good at acting, well in his opinion theater was too much hard work, but he fully supported her if she wanted to do it. Even if she made more money then him. Because that's what boyfriend's were for right? He wanted to call himself her fiancee in his head, but it sounded a littke creepy. So he continued to call himself her boyfriend, for a little while anyway.
He wasn't rushing into thing at all with Carol. Which was what he'd always worried about when he'd thought of the future, ge'd get some girl pregnant, and rush into a marrige he didn't want. Even if he didn't really want kids right away. Wyatt wasn't the kind of guy who wanted kids, righr away, anyway. He was fine with kittens for now. And they were awafly cute.

Carol sighed. "Six shows a week," she was always so tired because of work. It took a lot out of her. Tomorrow was a Friday though, so that meant there were going to be a lot of people there. "Well, Eloise — who plays Thea, remember she came over for dinner that one time? — ripped her dress right down the side, and it was awful. We had to wait for hours finding someone to sue it because all of the costume people were like gone. And then Kegan was yelling a lot, mostly because of that cold I'm getting over. I'm having trouble on Mama Who Bore Me because of the high note. My voice keeps cracking, it's awful. I'm scared my understudy is going to have to do it, and you know how I hate that." She shook her head. A lot of people found theatre silly, but it was Carol's entire life. And she was also making bank, but that didn't matter very much to her.
She tried thinking of something positive about her day. "Oh! We're up for a Tony!" She gushed, remembering it. "Key's nominated for best direction of a play, and best revival of a musical. I didn't get nominated for best actress, but that's okay. It'll go to someone who really deserves it." She shrugged. She was obviously hoping for that, but she did win an award when she was in Rent, so she couldn't complain about it.

"Wow, that's really cool... Not about the cold thing... But if you are feeling sick, maybe you should stay home and spend the day with me, and I'll take care of you and make you, chicken noodle soup." He laughed. "Well, from a can." He added. "You know I can't cook." He looked down at his drink, and stirred the ice around for a second, and the took a sip of the drink. He knew she couldn't just stop what she was doing and spend the entire day woth him, even if he would have liked that, it wasn't like in high school where he could see her whenever he wanted. "I'm kidding, but for real, that sounds really cool." He said. "I mean amazing." He shrugged. "Kegan really did a good job didn't he?" He added looking up at her. He leaned across the table and gave her a quick kiss. "It'll be ok. it'll turn out fine I pronise." He said, although he couldn't really promise that it sounded reassuring. Sort of.

Carol smiled at him. "Spending the day at home for once actually sounds amazing. I've taken one day off in the past six months...I think they can do okay without me for one show." She generally hated not performing, but she was so burnt out. And she missed him. Yes, he was always there backstage waiting for her, but they almost never had alone time. She took his hand from across the table. "We need date nights more often. I miss this," she said, playing with his fingers like she used to when they were first together. She loved how long they were and how soft they felt. He really had the most perfect hands. At least in her opinion. "Tell me about your day though, honey. I want to know every detail." Carol had missed out on going to college, so she loved hearing about Wyatt's classes. She got lucky falling directly into Broadway fresh out of high school, so she wasn't going to complain, but she had always wondered what it would have been like.

"Oh.. No you don't. Really. My classes are boring, and then I have fo study, which is no fun, and then come here, and see you which is pretty much the highlight of mty day.Actually, seeing you is always the best part of my day. We should do this... A lot more... I miss you baby." Hse said lacing their fingers together, yeah they did see each other a lot, but he never really got to spend alone time with her. She always wanted him to tell her what he was feeling, and for once he did tell her. "I love you, but I feel like we never spend time together."But that's what you get in real life. Of course he knew it wasn't going to be that easy. She was sort of a star now, which was good, she had money, and it was what she wanted to do. He wanted to support her, even if it ment hardly ever seeing her, but that was hard. Especially when he was planning on marrying her.

Carol sighed and squeezed his hand. "I know, I need to take more time off. I've been an awful girlfriend." She looked down. She really did feel horrible for leaving him alone all the time. He deserved so much more than that. "I promise to limit myself more...maybe one less show every other week? I think that'd be nice. That way we'd have two days to be together." It wasn't much at all, and she knew that, but it was something. She'd probably go on hiatus once she decided she was finished with Spring Awakening for now. She had a lot of money put away in savings, so if she ever wanted to take some time off, she easily could. She just missed Wyatt so much.
She sipped her drink, and looked up at him. "Tomorrow we're having a cast party at the club for my birthday. They're throwing it for me. I think it's silly but..." she shrugged. "It's after the show. We should pop in for at least an hour, but then we have the rest of the night to be together..." she winked at him and the laughed a little. Lately they'd only been averaging about two-three times a week because she was always busy with work, and he had school and work. And even then it was just sort of routine. So she figured they could have some special sexy times around her birthday. After all, she did have her birthday weekend in Vegas Esme was treating her to...That was going to be something

"It's your birthday party baby, you should stay as long as you want." He said. "But if you want to spend time with me... that's ok too." He said with a grin. "But hey, it's not only you that's being a horrible girfriend... I mean I'm being a horrible boyfriend too... we're both to busy." He said. "It's not like we can just run away from everything... you know." He shrugged. "We'll find a way to see each other." He wasn't just going to let them grow apart, he didn't think that would actually happpen, but who knew what would happen if they dodn't get to spend time together. No they would be together, with everything they'd been through, this wasn't a big deal. He really didn't want to ever leave her, even now, after everything they'd gone through as a couple this wasn't going to be the thing to break them. Sure, they didn't get to spend as much time together, it wasn't the worst thing in the world.
ooc:For some reason this made me think of the two minute date off of how I met your mother.... lol that would be cute for them to do. But you probably don't even know what I'm talking about. Anywho...I'm sorry my post sucks btw.

Carol shrugged. "I'm having like three birthday parties. People are making a big deal out of it because I'm finally twenty-one, but..." she let her voice trail off, not having anything else to add. "So what's the food like here? Or is there just dessert? Either way, you know I'm not going to complain." She smiled at him, and took a sip of her drink.
She wanted this night to last as long as possible since they never had alone time anymore. Things were just so much simpler a few years ago. They were able to see each other whenever they wanted to, there was so need for her to impress random people, their date nights weren't just a once in a blue moon kind of thing...she really missed the simplicity of their relationship. But she wouldn't change anything about her life. She had her dream career and the love of her life. So what if somethings were complicated. They still had each other. And maybe someday she could be Mrs. Wyatt Parks.

"Oh, they have regular food, but the dessert is so much better." Wel it should be right? This place was named after chocolate. "And 21 id a big deal," he said. "You're going to go get super drunk right?" Not that she hadn't before, but now she could legally. "That's what most people do." He shrugged. He honestly hoped she didn't get super drunk, so that his plan would work, he knew she wanted to get married, and five years was a long time to date someone. "You should go have fun though...." He didn't finish his sentence, though. "I wish I had as many friends as you did, so I could have had three parties fir my.birthday." He said, taking a sip of his drink. She was lucky people would do that for her. He would have thron her a party too if Esme wasn't already throwing her one, and becides he thought she was going to get exactly what she wanted for her birthday. "It'll be fun." He said, looking at her now. "How could you not have fun at a party? Especially when you can drink."

Carol laughed, "You know I drink anyway. At least it's legal now though." Just as she was about to say something else, there was a giant squeal a few tables over. She turned and saw a couple about their age embracing. At first she was confused, and then she saw the man slip a ring on the girl's finger. She wondered if that would ever be her. If she would ever be married. Lately it seemed like everyone was either calling it quits or getting hitched. She sighed and played with her straw in her drink. It was hard to hide the expression on her face. She was obviously bothered by the scene, and Wyatt could probably tell. She was just so ready so stop being someone's girlfriend, and be a fiance or a wife. Especially if that meant she got to keep Wyatt forever.
After a few moments of silence, Carol cleared her throat, but she knew she still looked upset. "So what are we getting?" She asked him, since he usually ordered her food for her. It was just easier that way, especially when they went out to places she'd never been before.

"I..." He looked around for a second, he could tell she was bothered by the scene, and even if his plan was to wait for her party, he wanted to put a ring on her finger righ then. He'd already picked it out, and it was a georgeous ring, that he'd savedup for, for a while. "So... Um...." He didn't finish his sentence. He saw the look on her face, and he wanted to say screw this carol lets go get married, who cares about everyone else. He already had the ring he wanted o give her, he'd picked it out a while ago, and he'd been saving for it for a few months. He wanted to wait until her birthday, and make it special, but he could tell she wanted to get married. "Well we could get something to eat... But I have a better idea." He said. Standing up, he walked out of the restruant, waiting for her to fallow him.
Then he walked back over to her and picked her uo bridal style."You are totally going to love this." He grinned. "It's better then choclate." Once he got out to his car, he set her down and unlocked the door, leaning into the passenger seat looking through the glove compartment, until he found it. It was a small black box, he didn't even bother with the whole getting on one knee thing. He was too nervous to think about it. Although on the outside he was trying to act calm. He knew she could probably see through him.
"I was going to wait until your birthday to do this.... But..." He paused for a second, and then got down on one knee, as if he hadn't thought about it until a second before. "Let's get married... Right now carol." He looked up at her. " Screw everyone and lets gi get married." He said. "I love you so much and I want to be with you forever." He just wanted to spit it out, it was taking way to lobg to get it out, but the words jeot getting caught in his throught. "Carol...Carol Anne Maree, will you marry me?"
